Cradle-ALP project

Under the umbrella of the Cradle-ALP project, which is a part of the Interreg Alpine Space programme, experts from industry, business support organizations, and research institutions developed a transformation roadmap for five selected value chains (Textile, Composites, Chemistry and materials, Packaging, wood and furniture).

Cradle to Cradle transformation roadmaps shall provide policy makers, business support providers and businesses with guidelines for the implementation of circular business models and supportive material, digital and hybrid technologies for each of the selected value chains for the piloting process. The roadmaps will also include examples from industrial practice. Source: Cradle-ALP (Interreg Alpine Space)

Circular Design Guide

The Circular Design Guide is a free online toolkit co-developed by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and IDEO to help individuals and organizations incorporate circular economy thinking into the design process.

It includes 24 hands-on methods, downloadable worksheets, and real-world case studies tailored for innovators, designers, and entrepreneurs. The guide walks users through key phases of circular design – understanding, defining, making, and releasing – and emphasizes approaches that eliminate waste, extend product lifecycles, and maximize resource reuse. Its interactive structure encourages collaboration, creativity, and systems thinking, making it a highly practical resource for education, prototyping, and sustainability-driven innovation.

The Butterfly Diagram : Visualizing the Circular Economy

The circular economy system diagram, known as the butterfly diagram, illustrates the continuous flow of materials in a circular economy.

There are two main cycles – the technical cycle and the biological cycle. In the technical cycle, products and materials are kept in circulation through processes such as reuse, repair, remanufacture and recycling. In the biological cycle, the nutrients from biodegradable materials are returned to the Earth to regenerate nature. You can use the Video (2.27 mins) as training material for your organisation to explore the high level principle of Circular Economy and take inspirations by examples provided. In the same website you can find additional material related to other relevant topics like circularity in packaging or plastics.

It facilitates the dialogue among stakeholders (among which industries) in order to set impactful actions against climate change .

HAEE Encyclopedia

The HAEE Encyclopedia is a continuously updated collection created by the Hungarian Association of Environmental Enterprises, the largest environmental advocacy organization in Hungary whose primary membership consists of environmental service-providing companies, R&D institutes, manufacturers & distributors, universities and green NGOs.

Altough the majority of the material collected on the website is in Hungarian, there is a specific section dedicated for English language materials, and it provides an up-to-date collection of reports, guidelines, policy papers not only on circularity, but energy efficiency, waste management, reduction, sustainability, waste water treatment and many more.
